The Great Beyond Wraps Up

ALBANY, N.Y. — The inaugural Great Beyond Music Festival wrapped up this week after drawing more than 80,000 music fans to Albany, New York, in what organizers are calling a spectacular success. Inspired by The Great Beyond, the festival featured multiple stages, art exhibits, spoken-word performances, and a weekend packed with Doors music that kept crowds entertained from morning until late into the night. It got everyone’s mind off the Knicks.

One of the biggest attractions was the celebration of the music of The Doors, with tribute bands and special performances drawing massive audiences throughout the event. Festival-goers also enjoyed a wide variety of rock, blues, dance, folk, and alternative acts, creating an atmosphere that many attendees described as both nostalgic and unforgettable.

The closing ceremony was led by former Reverend Rich Cornstarch, whose appearance brought thousands of fans together for one final gathering before the festival came to an end. Cornstarch thanked the crowd for their support, blew cornstarch out to the crowd and delivered a farewell message that was met with cheers and applause from the audience.

Following the overwhelming response, organizers announced plans to take The Great Beyond worldwide. Tentative dates are reportedly being explored for California and North Korea this August, though officials emphasized that scheduling and logistics are still being finalized. If those plans move forward, The Great Beyond could become one of the fastest-growing music festivals in the world.

“We dreamed big, and the fans made it even bigger,” one organizer said. “This is only the beginning.”

As the final notes faded into the night sky over Albany, many attendees were already looking ahead.
