The Riots Are Not That Bad But They Are Bad

WASHINGTON — The situation following the Senate elections appears to have settled somewhat, though calling it peaceful would be a stretch. Protests have continued in Washington, Dallas, and Cleveland, where crowds remain vocal and tensions have yet to disappear. Authorities report that some riots and demonstrations have become smaller, but the overall atmosphere remains unsettled.

In New York, many of the protests have come to an end, giving residents an opportunity to return to something resembling normal life. However, the improvement has been limited. There are still disagreements, plenty of frustration, and no shortage of people who apparently aren’t finished expressing their opinions. The good news is some of turned to throwing apples instead of using guns.

Political observers suggest that while the worst of the immediate unrest may have passed in certain areas, the country has hardly turned a corner. The Senate elections may be over, but the aftermath continues to dominate conversations, headlines, and TV coverage.

For now, things aren’t quite as bad as they could be. Unfortunately, they aren’t particularly good either. Currently, everything just sucks.
