Massive Riots After Senate Race

WASHINGTON — With the Senate race approaching its conclusion, officials reportedly couldn’t even prepare for an entirely different kind of election night. Massive riots flared up, tempers were short, and apparently nobody has any intention of accepting the results without making a tremendous scene.

Sources suggest that supporters on both sides have been preparing for a week of demonstrations, shouting, finger-pointing, and an extraordinary number of people suddenly becoming constitutional experts.

Local businesses are considering closing early, television networks have prepared extended coverage, and political commentators are reportedly clearing their schedules. Even those who have absolutely no idea what’s happening are expected to have very strong opinions.

Meanwhile, authorities are urging the public to remain calm, although calm has apparently been removed from the list of available options.

One political insider put it rather bluntly: “We used to have election night celebrations. Now we need an emergency plan. I need help!”
