Richard Tattoni Misses Editorial Deadline, Somehow Finishes Fourth Edition

In what publishing insiders are calling a remarkable last-minute escape, author Richard Tattoni has narrowly avoided missing yet another editorial deadline, finally completing publication of his online books in what has been declared an unprecedented “fourth edition”.

Sources close to the situation say Tattoni was dangerously close to blowing past the deadline when he suddenly entered what witnesses described as “a period of intense literary activity.” During which edits to The Technossance Magazine and The Great Beyond were made, more music production got reconsidered, sentences were reconsidered, sentences that had already been reconsidered were reconsidered again, and at least one paragraph was reportedly rewritten for reasons nobody could fully explain.

“I thought I was finished,” Tattoni reportedly said. “Then I read it again.”

That simple decision nearly caused another delay. Man, oh, man. Tough.

The “fourth edition” is being hailed as a significant achievement, particularly because the books had already been through previous editions. Publishing experts say reaching a “fourth edition” online requires an unusual combination of persistence, impatience with one’s own writing, and the willingness to discover something wrong with a sentence that looked perfectly fine three hours earlier. What happened?

At approximately the final hour, Tattoni reportedly submitted the completed publications, prompting what one observer described as “the quietest celebration in literary history.”

There were no champagne bottles, no marching bands and no fireworks.

There was, however, a noticeable sigh of relief. It’s over.

The author is now believed to have retired from the editing process, although sources familiar with Tattoni’s history remain skeptical.

For now, however, the new deadline has been met, the books are published, and the “fourth edition” officially exists — a development that, according to insiders, was not guaranteed until the very last possible moment.

  1. […] Out of the blue. Ridicuous. I missed the deadline. I finished both The Technossance Magazine and The Great Beyond again in a fourth edition. […]
